Zoo Camp is a week-long, ½ day, program for children ages 5 to
15 years old. It is open only to Bergen
County residents or
Bergen County Zoo members only.
It will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m .Monday to
Friday, and costs $150 for the week including a t-shirt.
Campers are organized
into the following groups: Lambs — 5 and 6-years-old; Hawks — 7 and 8-years-old;
and Gators — 9, 10 and 11-years-old. The groups spend time touring different
parts of the zoo, meeting a different animal up-close in the classroom each
day, playing animal-related games and making crafts.
Junior Zookeepers are
from 12 to 15-years-old. The explore different aspects of a career in
zookeeping as they learn about our animal collection, prepare their diets, and
clean their enclosures.
Registration is open
until March 1.
