Hiram College offers $1,000 Scholarship opportunity to terrier-lovers

Calling all terrier-lovers!

Hiram College in Ohio announces the Terrier Scholarship: a one-time $1,000 scholarship awarded to five incoming Hiram students who have – or love – a terrier.

To apply for the scholarship, students should take a picture or a 15-second video of themselves with their terrier, or a terrier they love.

Submissions should show what makes terriers special: how they are a part of the family, a best friend, a fast-learner – and more.

Hiram will accept Terrier Scholarship applications from now through Dec. 31. A panel of Hiram media and photography specialists will choose five scholarship recipients based on the creativity and originality of photo and video submissions. Scholarship recipients will be notified and publicly announced in Feb. 2016.

In order to receive the scholarship, students must apply, be accepted and attend Hiram College beginning in fall 2016. While Hiram’s mascot is a bull terrier, the scholarship is open to owners and fans of any breed of terrier.
