Adopt a bunny at two NYC rabbit adoption events Sat., Dec. 12

This Sat., Dec. 12 from noon to 3 p.m., the ASPCA will sponsor rabbit adoption events at two New York City locations: Central Park Zoo entrance, Grand Army Plaza and East Drive, steps away from the 5th Ave/59th St. subway stop and at Union Square, between 14th and 15th streets, in front of Staple.

These rabbits have come a long way — in Jan. 2015, the ASPCA and the NYPD teamed up to rescue and remove nearly 180 at-risk rabbits from a property in Brooklyn, New York
The rabbits, who were not spayed or neutered, were living in squalid conditions and many were suffering from multiple injuries and illnesses. After the rescue, the ASPCA examined and helped provide veterinary care for all of the seized bunnies.

The $25 adoption fee also includes a cage and water bottle for each rabbit. All rabbits have been spayed/neutered. Potential adopters should bring one government-issued photo ID (i.e. driver’s license, passport, military ID, or non-driver ID), proof of address and contact information for a personal reference. Adopters must be 21 or older.
