Pet bereavement support group June 23 in Paramus

Oradell Animal Hospital will offer a pet bereavement class for those mourning the loss of their precious animal companion -- within the last three months -- 7 to 8 p.m. June 23, July 14, Aug. 4 and Sept. 29.

The group focus includes the sharing of memories, receiving support throughout the grieving process and honoring the lives of our very special friends.

Participants may attend up to three sessions, which can be attended over the course of a year and the classes are “free of charge.”

To respect the privacy of attendees, there is no formal registration process. Attendees must be at least 16 years of age or older.

The group is facilitated by Susan Stone, LCSW a licensed clinical social worker with certifications in bereavement and who is also a former Delta Society Evaluator and Pet Partner Instructor.

The hospital is at 580 Winters Ave., Paramus.

In an effort to avoid overcrowding, classes are limited to clients whose pets are a patient of our hospital. Please RSVP to or 201-262-0010, ext. 152.
