Well Pet Day slated for May 16 in Cedar Grove

Rock & Rawhide, a charity that helps increase adoption levels of dogs and cats in shelters, will be co-hosting the second annual Well Pet Day event with Shelter Our Pets, a group that provides a safe haven for the pets of victims of domestic violence from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., May 16 at Well Pet Animal Hospital 109 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove.

Designed to help both pets and their families, this event features several programs to help offset basic care costs including $25 micro-chipping and $15 rabies vaccinations, courtesy of the hospital.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to adopt from eight rescue groups: Zani’s Furry Friends, A Pathway to Hope Rescue, North Jersey Humane Society, Montclair Animal Shelter, Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter, START, PAWS and Ferndog Rescue.
