Given the recent coverage on the white rhino and latest news regarding four tons of elephant tusks that were confiscated, actress/philanthropist, Kristin Davis’s new documentary, “Gardeners of Eden” premiering on Pivot (Participant Media’s television network), 9 p.m. Wed., May 6 and in select theaters in New York and Los Angeles.
“Gardeners of Eden” will take viewers to the front lines of the illegal ivory trade where Africa’s elephants are hurtling towards extinction.
While conservationists howl and governments fail to address the ongoing slaughter, one family has been working for decades to stem the tide, one elephant at a time. “Gardeners of Eden” is a first person experience inside the operations of Kenya's David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
From the front lines of the crisis, we witness their heroic efforts to stop the poachers in the bush, rescue the orphans of slain elephants and raise them by hand, until one day, returning them to their home in the wild
